Today is the 4th of July, so it's Freedom Day. It's also the day that Redditors are finally breaking free from the Reddit Addiction to find other sites on the web. They're forming their own communities, and learning that Reddit is not the only site on the internet. What a fitting day for this occasion. :)

Yup. I've jumped off. I was there a few hours ago and all the news about the firing is gone. All the links to the alternative sites are gone. All the Victoria tribute posts are gone. I can't tell because I don't know how to "see the code" like some internet users can, but it feels like things got crazy censored over there.

In the few hours I've been here, it's easy to see how the site and its users encourage conversation. I'm game.
