The term Darknet and The Dark Web are what the World Wide Web would have been called if NCSA Mosaic had been released after 9-11. Port 80 would have been renamed Tortuga, and all email/IM/TXT/DNS requests would have been regulated by and routed through the DHS.

So how about we begin to use a different adjective to describe the desire for online privacy/pseudo-identity?

How about the Butterfly Net? Or how about Free Beer Net? Or how about The True Free Market Net? Or the Tea Party Net?
