My dad went to the record store yesterday and returned with some MC5 and some music from Rodriguez. He said he was buying "Detroit music."

We listened to that and I introduced him to Sufjan Stevens. We have been listening to a lot of Jim O'rourke, as well as The Velvet Underground. we had a dinner party the other night with some older folks so we played a bunch of Stan Getz, which everyone tends to universally enjoy.
