“It was mostly my suggestion,” said Thompson when asked whose idea it was to use Jeff Tweedy.

“We’ve worked with Jeff live,” says Thompson. “In fact, last year in the States we toured with Wilco. They’re very conscious of the roots of music so we think in a similar way about how to make records. So I think it was a fairly easy single-minded process.”
