I do agree so much of why people don't value ownership in social media is that they see it as conversation, not content, but that's often because we don't know in advance when it becomes meaningful.
Funny, for as cutting edge as these folk are, it doesn't sound like they've used aggregators too much. I think they are on to something, in that creation and the conversation need balance of ownership.
