A lot of people in the slam poetry community I am part of in the Jersey City, NJ/New York City area really hate this poem. They think it's just a bunch of drivel and some find it offensive. What do you guys think of this poem?
And this right here is where the poem lost me and I was like, "Yeah, drivel, I can see that." It's not what it's saying, it's how it says it.
