wait a minute… corporations and governments are colluding to make life for individuals more expensive, less free, and all around unpleasant?

sorry… flippant sounding sarcasm is all I can muster this morning. It's really, really exhausting trying to even begin to think about what this means and what little I can do about it. Does anyone else feel the crushing weight of powerlessness against this kind of thing?
