Just a small change...
Based on feedback, we've changed the alert notification. Now your personal hubwheel turns orange when you have received a notification since you last viewed them. That is, viewing your notifications returns your hubwheel to gray.
Previously, you needed to dismiss all of your notifications before it would turn gray again.
Let us know how this works out for you.
I kinda liked it the old way as well.
Also, it's awesome that using the 'dismiss all notifications' button sends you to your feed, and it be great if it also sent you back to your feed after you use the regular 'dismiss' button on your last (or only) notification.
