The robot stand-off sounds pretty silly. There's no reason they'd even get that far if they decided that they weren't fighting for us.

I bet that AI that surpasses ours is going to seem weird and buggy. These minds will have very different avenues to explore. I don't see any serious reason why AI would want to get rid of us, but it probably won't be as interested in us as they are in each other. We might become spectators of a sort.

I think 2015 is a bit too soon for space tourism. I say 2018.

I like the transhuman idea. But I would be more cool looking than a bug.
