The author simply brings to light how torture has moved into mainstream media as an acceptable practice. It's actually really disturbing when you think about it because torture is not effective, not humane, and not moral and should be kept out of our media more so than sex or other violence.

I guess the question is "Why has torture worked itself into mainstream media?"
