I hope the BART guys get something out of the strike, if only because I can't remember a significant strike that resulted in any great change for the union involved. We've had a few strikes around here and the thing I always heard from those involved afterwards was that they really got nothing from it (these were people on the ground, not those negotiating). According to the implications of the first song on Dr Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog: Commentary the Musical the writer's strike from a while ago didn't net them much either (and I'm too lazy to google it at the moment).
