Yeah, if we're talking chain burger places, Smashburger is the best. (I like the fries too.)
True that the best burgers won't come from a chain. Stuffed cream cheese and jalepeño sounds fantastic - I might try to make that myself this summer.

It's believed that ingesting local honey is actually a natural form of immunotherapy, and can help you build up a tolerance to the pollens in your area that would trigger allergies, just like getting allergy shots.

I see. that makes more sense since the typical pollen allergy (I know of) starts in the eyes, skin or nasal area

Oh yes, this topic came up in our birthing class too. It has kind of become a running joke in our class after that NYMag story came out in August.
I actually think placentophaging might be a candidate for Jack Shafer's Bogus Trend Story of the Week - lots of people talking about, nobody actually doing it (except those that read the stories and want to be on the cusp of the trend).

Congrats mk! This article was especially timely for me too -- we're expecting our first in November, a daughter. It's going to be an amazing adventure..

To mk and bhousel CONGRATS! BH, my daughter is now 8 months old and it's the best thing ever. -so much fun every single day. mk is right though, charge the batteries. Also, some words of advice to the both of you: do as much spontaneous activity as possible now. Go out to lots of dinners and stay out late. See movies. Drink. That project that you've been tinkering with... finish it, but start a new one to work on when the baby comes. You know how everyone says, "your life is going to change so much"? -They are right, but all of the good stuff remains and it tends to be the superfluous stuff that you could do without that disappears. -It changes for the better. Best of luck to you both! Share updates, I'm always curious to know what the biggest shocks are for people regarding this journey.

That's awesome bhousel! Congratulations. We won't know for another month and a half, I think.
Charge those batteries now. :)

No worries. I am going to address that. Resubs are fine, but I might add an alert that it has been submitted before.
I am actually working on some Hubski updates at this moment. I'll be posting something to that effect soon.

I like the changes, but I think it would work better if instead of mousing over the >> to remove the popout, you would need to click something. Mouseovers don't work on iPad/smartphone.

UPDATE: To address this, I've added a close button in the upper-right of the hover-display.
I have only my iPhone on me to test it, but it seemed to work well. If you have an iPad at your disposal, please let me know how this works for you.
Thanks again for catching this.

Thanks! The close button works well on my android phone.

Thanks. I too found this issue this morning, bhousel. However, on the laptop/desktop, I do like the ease of closing the display on a mouseover. I'll work on a tablet/phone solution.

Glad you liked it! Venkat's stuff on Ribbonfarm is excellent and insightful.
His writings on groupthink and sociology have definitely influenced my thinking. He also runs a semi-stealthy email list, Be Slightly Evil, that is full of gems too.
As for Hubski, it certainly qualifies as sprawling untidly across multiple domains and I hope it stays that way. I like what I've seen so far, keep up the great work.

Thanks. I am going to have to look into these. 'Be Slightly Evil' is a great name for an email list, -makes me want to join.

Hubski has been very fortunate to serve some eclectic types early on. I couldn't be happier with the pattern set at this stage. Your feedback is much appreciated. My goal is to enable something of value, and to provide fertile ground for that sprawling, untidy, multi-domain growth. Still, it's those who provide the content and conversation that really create momentum and set the tone. Welcome aboard.
