Isn't that sorta the point though. Your identity is an expression of who you are, and the goal is not to express your identity in an empty room; you want others to see/understand/connect-to who you are as a person. Don't get me wrong, I think the peope who feel the need to shout their identities are overbearing, annoying, and exhausting. But I also think we all want that attention that is human connection.And, like ViHart, I tend to cynically assume that people are using their identities as an attention-getting tool.
The color scheme is nice, makes the green light on the rocks really stand out. I'd let the bottom bleed out more, or painted entirely. The way the painting ends in an abrupt line, I don't know. It's actually drawing the eye down to the white space when it should be on the picture.
I really like the frame on the last one and how it is integrated with the drawers. Trying to guess if there's a connection between the parrots and corks for Cornell, or if it was just material he had on hand.
If only the story matched the level of art: it felt like the there was a promise of more in the mythos that was never delivered, instead it all aprubtly ends with the defeat of bellower. Maybe I'm misrembering cause it's been awhile, but I thought there were hints of the bad guys running away from something else? And felt like there should be more with the magic and the giant snake or whatever?
