As a cat lover, I agree. It's nice that cats don't always need you. They are much lower maintenance overall than dogs.

Cats typically ignore you and that makes it feel a hundred times more special when they come up and give you a friendly nuzzle.

Spectacular poem.

It really lays bare the reasoning behind most of the refugees, I think.

no one leaves home until home is a sweaty voice in your ear

    saying-

    leave,

    run away from me now

It's easy to look at the refugee crisis from an economic, detached view but I think you miss out on something very important if you just do that.

Sometimes I think "I could do that" when looking at some forms of modern art. But I soon realize, I didn't do that. And they did. That tends to satisfy me most of the time.

Sometimes I do wonder though, that if I had created such a piece of art (let's say a red square on a white canvas), people wouldn't have really considered it art and they probably would have made fun of it. But because a famous artist did it, it's worth thousands of dollars and considered not only art, but good art.

I think that if that starts to be the case, then there is a problem.

For United States feminists like Nadine Strossen, a professor at New York Law School and the first woman President of the ACLU from 1991 to 2008, it doesn’t matter how “offensive, how vile” Tyler’s lyrics or persona might be—under the Constitution, it’s protected speech. “Censorship always does more harm than good, including and especially to the groups that are supposedly benefiting from it.

I'd have to agree with the lady in this quote, and with the quote OP gave. I don't agree with what his music endorses in some cases, but banning it and banning him from the country won't accomplish anything. I think censoring somebody on the basis of things said years ago, sets a rather troubling precedent as well.

I agree. I feel like more personal connections will be able to be made with hubski. You are right, on Reddit there was far too much internal drama. It detracted from the actual content.

I've been on hubski for a day so far and I like it. Hopefully, I'll end up staying.
