I have a tip that could help with this issue. If you use Chrome (I think Firefox works the same) and center click a link (mouse wheel) it will open the link in a new tab. This way you can look at the page that interested you and come back to a scrolling page without losing your spot. A lot of websites have that auto scroll instead of a "page 2" sort of design, center clicking into a new tab I THINK is the only way to keep your place. Hope this helps.
