When Phil Plait dissected this article he stated as such. They guy who made these was reading some crackpot named Pallathadka Keshava Bhat.
I thought Plait did a great job of explaining exactly what was wrong with those videos. It is understandable that someone without a scientific background would confuse his understanding of how our Sun moves through the galaxy. IMO it isn't covered or discussed enough. Yet another reason to follow the Bad Astronomy blog.
