I was all ready to love that cover of Joline because shit, it's Joline, one of the best songs by one of Americas best songwriters of the last half century. Than I thought that it was a little overworked and groany. And then I decided it was ok, cause it was Joline and that's cool. My favorite "cover" of Joline will always be a 45 played at 33 of the original. It's plodding but interesting in that every moment is layed super bare. It's also delightfully homoerotic.
