Americas Christian's are directly to blame for the fact that basic public health information and policies have been turned into political debate. This problem has been going on at least as far back as the Scopes trial. The church I grew up in put out a statement that they trust God to keep them safe and they will be taking exactly 0 precautions regarding Covid-19. This can be dismissed as my regular tirade against people of faith. Forget the fact that their actions will directly lead to infections of more people. I'm just a meany who was bored in church as a kid and hated going.
