Oh! Right. Storage space for noise reasons, not for storage reasons.

There is some building in your town that you don't know about yet, that probably looks like an old meat-packing plant or brick warehouse or something, and it is in a totally shitty part of town, and has a weird variety of pickup trucks, vans, and Subaru Outbacks parked in front at 9:00 at night.

That's where all the bands have rehearsal spaces.

They are paying somewhere between $250 and $2000 a month to keep their equipment in a locked room, with (some) soundproofing, where they can practice/jam/make noise/whatever.

Every month, the bass player has to collect money from all the band members to pay for the space. Every month someone is short.

They can only get together about twice a week, due to everyone's schedules. So there are two other bands they co-rent the space with, and each band gets two days a week.

Almost all of these bands practice somewhere between 7:pm and 12:am on weeknights.

That leaves all daylight hours, and many Friday/Saturday nights where there is nobody in their rehearsal room, and it sits there dark and quiet.

If you pay them $50/month to be able to come in during off hours once in a while and turn it up, they will be STOKED. (Once they confirm you aren't a meth head, and won't steal their equipment.)

So do that. Go find those guys.

Also, talk to the drummer(s) and get their permission to turn off their snare. Otherwise you are going to have a lot of ambient annoying noise while you are trying to play.
