Shockingly the Republican approach seems to be working. Both Trump's approval rating and the Republicans' chance of retaining control of the House has soared during the Kavanaugh circus. Some reports indicate that 1 in 4 women have been a victim of sexual assault. One implication of that is that a significant number of men are sexual predators. A large enough potential voter base that it seems to be paying off to cater to them.
