I'm glad he's doing what he's doing, but there's a certain fanboi love for him that insists he's Tony Stark. If he didn't seek out every available subsidy he could he'd be an idiot... but if he built union shops that valued human expertise he wouldn't be having as many troubles with the Model 3. Like most technological innovators he views humans as components that can be swapped and if he did a little less of that, the Model S might look like a Fisker Karma instead of a Zoloft blob with wheels.
