I like cats. Cats do NOT like me. They dislike me so much that it took 17 years to meet a cat who got close enough to me to trigger the allergies that I didn't know I had till that point. Also, here's the kitty I lived with in Chicago: I was so lonely at the time that I was constantly downing allergy meds so I could cuddle this cat. Worth it.
