I was pretty much done with mainline Democrats since Obama lobbied Levin and McCain to add language to the 2011 defense authorization bill to authorize indefinite detention of American citizens without legal recourse.

It's beyond the pale and I don't give a damn what Obama said in his signing statement.

There are a few other examples in the Obama administration which I think escape the bounds of supportable governance. Maybe it's unfair but I did look at a Hilary Clinton presidency and an extension of the Obama presidency.

I think we are on a path that will end in a great deal of misery regardless of who wins the presidency because these are the people who are running for president. I couldn't cast a vote for Trump but his presidency might be the one that leads to a reckoning of who we are and what we should be sooner rather than later, which will probably be ugly and terrible but necessary.

I don't think either candidate expressed any interest in the issues I care about most. I think both took positions contrary to my own views on most of my second tier issues. After taking a look at two candidates that are going to lead us into hell, Hillary is the winner. I'll keep voting for people who's values come a bit closer to mine rather than vote for candidates I think are dangerous and corrupted.
