Last month I had some bad news that my job was in jeopardy: However I spoke tho the new boss and he was very encouraging, saying that my role was critical and that my contract will probably run for another 6 months; time enough to prepare to look for another contract despite having no connections. 6 months is enough time to make some contact and inroads. Got a call on Monday that my contract is up at the end of September. Fuck. I've just lost my livelihood with less than 2 weeks notice. I've got a little money tucked away - maybe enough to last a moth or two. This is not my idea of fun - especially as I'm supporting a family of 4. Shit.
