    As psychologist Merlin Donald stated in The Origin of the Modern Mind (1991), the life of nonhumans is spent “entirely in the present”. But then our distant ancestors escaped the present and started to explore a new creativity of time.
-How can we be certain of this? Is it not true that some animals dream? That animals mourn their dead? Is it a stretch to think that they ruminate on the past as we do? Or long for a future moment as we do? -I realize this is not the overall subject at hand here, just curious as to your take.

As for atechnogenesis, can you further define that for me? Are you saying that this "symbolic code" created by man, will eventually create it's own habitat and culturally evolve within it? What does that look like and what are the implications?
