I didn't recommend Flash Boys because it hadn't come out yet. But I'll be reading it in May. Did you see the New York Times excerpt? As far as East of Eden, I have nothing to say that hasn't been said elsewhere. I have a great respect for any author who can weave symbolism and allegory into a narrative and not run off the rails entirely.
